The game crashed — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

When the game hits an unexpected error, it shows a message and closes. In release builds it automatically sends a crash report to the developers and shows a Report ID, and it saves a crash-*.txt file in the game's logs folder.

To help us fix it, share the Report ID (or the crash file) and what you were doing when it happened in bug reports or support.

Question 2

Where are my logs and crash files?

They're in the game's logs folder. The easiest way to open it: in the launcher, go to Settings and Open client folder, then open the logs subfolder.

latest.log is the current run. It's archived on each launch, so grab it before you relaunch — older runs are the dated .log.gz files (up to five are kept).

If the game crashed, also useful: crash-*.txt, hs_err_pid*.log (a low-level native crash), and startup-graphics-*.txt (a graphics or startup failure). Attach the relevant file when you contact support.

Question 3

The game runs poorly or has low FPS

Accepted Answer

Update your GPU drivers.

In Settings, make sure the FPS limit (MAX_FPS) isn't set lower than you want.

Try a different window mode (fullscreen, borderless, or windowed).

To render fewer pixels, switch to windowed mode and make the window smaller — resolution isn't a separate setting.
