Spaceclipse is a 2D space MMO built around fast, physics-driven ship combat — ships carry real momentum, and damage physically cuts into hulls instead of just draining a health bar. Modular ships and progression sit on top of that.

The game is in active early development, working toward its first playable alpha.

The current build is an early techno-demo — a combat sandbox where you can fly and fight. There's no alpha or release date yet.

Yes — Spaceclipse is free to play, and it will stay free.

What's planned for the first alpha?

The first playable alpha is planned around a single sector you travel across.

A station hub acts as a safe zone where you repair, buy and outfit your ship, and pick up simple tasks.

Three activity zones are planned: asteroid mining, a PvE pirate zone, and a high-risk PvP zone.

On top of that: ship outfitting with modules, repair, and early progression (XP and currency that unlock ships and modules).

We'd rather not wipe progress and we'll try to avoid it — but since this is an early version, occasional wipes may still be necessary.
